Pirates Faith Night
We’ve been fans of the Pirates for a long time, and we’ve been a part of their annual Faith Night since the beginning, seven years ago. Brad Henderson (our president) serves as the Pirates’ chaplain and each year we get to invite kids from our network onto to the field after the game to ask some of the players questions about how their faith has impacted their lives.
Each year, a few players and coaches share a little about their stories and what their faith means to them. Beth Henderson, our Women's’ Ministry Director, runs a Bible study with the Pirates’ wives and this year, members of that bible study sat down in front of the camera and shared about the importance of being part of a community of believers who support and encourage each other, even when life isn’t the easiest.
We want to thank everyone who shared a piece of their story this year and made the 7th Annual Faith Night an event to remember!

The Best Thing You'll Read All Day!
Okay, so we’re pretty biased, but we’re confident that this will be the best news you read all day… It’s our 2018 Impact Report! Take some time and look at everything you made possible last year for the communities we work with.

2018 was an incredible year for us as an organization, and we are thrilled to share this report with you. In 2018, 93.3% of every dollar went directly to projects and programs that benefit kids in Pittsburgh and Haiti.
We couldn’t do it without you!
2018 Women In Youth Ministry Retreat
Every ministry job offers its own joys and challenges. Youth ministry may offer some of the most extreme. Being a woman in youth ministry offers its own unique struggles. The PKF Women in Youth Ministry annual retreat brings women together from all over the city for a weekend of encouragement, worship, community, and rest.
The weekend is always a special time for women to connect with one another and strengthen their relationship with Christ. There were 18 women on the retreat this year, 9 first timers.
We enjoyed yoga and scripture meditation led by Colleen Ulke on Saturday morning. Our speaker, Jamie Shaver from True View Ministries shed new light from God’s Word on the seemingly relentless topic of anxiety and fear. With step by step instructions, she equipped us with the tools we had been searching for to help us to finally be free.
An afternoon of silence and solitude gave us much needed time in the presence of our Heavenly Father. The weekend was filled with worship and prayer led by Joyous DeMark.
There was also plenty of time for eating great food and having lots of fun! Each woman left the weekend feeling refreshed, recharged and ready to serve their students and ministries.
